1) Why is there physical pain?
I think that there is physical pain for two reasons. 1) To illustrate a blockage of energy flow in one's body. 2) A beacon to guide healing Light and Love to and restore positive energy flow.
2) Do you prefer western or eastern medicine? Why?
I will use both. As well as shamanic and new age. I think the technique of healing is not really the issue. It is an issue of comfort and typically people in general are comfortable with what they believe in. There are many good doctors who have shown this by having patients show positive results in healing through a placebo. I think that if the patient's mind is geared toward a certain aspect or paradigm, then it is probably best to use what is comfortable for them no matter how invasive or esoteric the procedure otherwise the technique risks causing fear or worse, disbelief in the patient as it is ultimately I think, the belief in the procedure by the patient as well as a show of confidence by the administer that creates the positive outcome. From the subtle body view point, all of these techniques would simply register as a play of light and it's directing so, the preference of the patient is most important for optimum results.
3) Describe your own personal experience with pain. Chronic illness? Trips to doctors? Shamans? Hospitals? Accupuncture?
I have had a veritable plethora of medical emergencies consisting mainly of my irresponsibility or what my father would call a "Dumb-Ass attack". I have suffered alot of stichable lacerations and multiple broken bones. Most of the healing that I have incurred in my life has been of a stereotypical western format. This is not to say that I always enjoyed the experience. I felt isolated and alone in a cold, white, and lifeless environment on most of the occasions. It wasn't until I was an adult in my late 20's, that I started to experiment with other possiblities in medicine. Now at almost 40, I believe that a combination of multiple techniques and conveyances works best for me as I see each technique as a transfer of Lovingkindness in a variety of formats. Different techniques, same energy.
4) Have you or someone you know been miraculously healed?
I have not been exposed to any supposed miracle healings per se, but I have been involved in a few Shamanic Healings of close Navajo friends by a Hataali or Singer. The idea is not so much to heal the physical ailment but more to restore balance between the ailment and the sufferer. This balance to the Navajo is called Hozho or in a loose translation, beauty. Beauty before me. Beauty above me. Beauty all around me. The Navajo way is the Beauty Way. I have witnessed many beautiful restorations of right vision through beauty.
5) What is the biggest healing secret you have learned in your life?
Smiling and laughing and realizing that I am not the pain, but the Witness of it, therefore it no longer threatens me. It is just another experience in the continuous and ongoing sea of things arising and falling.
