Here are some better pictures of my graphite and charcoal renderings. It takes me anywhere from a month and a half to almost three months to complete one sometimes. >Whew!<
This one is called Santa Fe Sun. It is done on 11 x 14 Strathmore medium tooth with graphite. 3 months to complete.
This one is called The Fiercest Hearts. It is done on 11 x 14 Strathmore medium tooth with graphite.
This is a self portrait done in graphite on 11 x 14 Strathmore medium.
Trying something new with the combination of Charcoal and Graphite. I am enamored with the results thus far at five weeks in. I am using a photorealistic technique called Tromp L'oeil or Decieve the Eye. I will post Work in Progress.
I hope y'all enjoy these. Take note that my work is strictly copyrighted. I appreciate the respect.

nice stuff….great detail.
ii really love the drawings of horses and woman… is it possible to copy the pictures if it's attributed, or would you prefer no copies at all?
Sorry, Nicole. No copies please. Eventually I will have high quality prints made. An artist should get paid for their labor. And when you work as hard as I do on just one piece for so long, the thought of just giving it away makes me cringe. It's like a mother giving her child away. No different really. I will let you know when prints are available. And thank you so much for asking Nicole and not simply just taking. I appreciate that very much.
Ride easy. Love all critters,
Erik
Erik, you are so gifted! There is so much emotion in your work;;somehow even in the still life one.
I would suggest you make a signature on the photos you upload, as not everyone will be as Nicole, and ask.
i look forward to prints being available! will happily buy. love to you
Thanks Meen. I will take your advice. Thank YOU Nicole! Currently I am building up a body of work to circulate around galleries and museums. It is good to have my hard work recognized. Meenakshi I think that it is wonderful that you can pull emotion from my renderings. It is surely there. I have an overly romanticized personal view of the Southwest and it is this that I try to convey in all of my artistic endeavors as the Southwest is my seemingly endless muse. Bless you for noticing. My heart lives in each piece.
